The Mancos area is very picturesque all
year round. The area was settled by ranchers drawn to the lush high
grasses, and later by miners looking for the mother lode and the loggers who
harvested the thick forests. During the spring and fall ranchers still herd
their cattle to and from winter grazing areas.
Many of the current residents are descendants of the original settlers. We all know what a special place it still is
and the majority of our listings are centered in this geographic area.
